Year 2010
365 days to do more and more!
EDUCATING CHILDREN PROJECT (School project)
2009 has been, for Hanuman Onlus, a very intense and profitable year, rich in activities at untiring rhythm. It has seen the completion of two new and important schools in Kathmandu Valley:
- in Benighat, Dadhing District, the second floor of Shree Chandrodaya Higher Secondary School, thus completing the school, nowadays a College, with 15 school rooms, of which one is equipped with 21 computers, related desks and chairs, for the benefit of the numerous students who attend the Secondary School classes. The highest political dignities of the Nepalese State took part in the opening ceremony, among whom the Civil Service Minister.
- in Bakthapur, a few kilometres from the Nepali Capital city, the Shree Pancha Kania Primary School. This new and functional buiding on two floors will be able to receive several hundreds of Primary School students who previously could not attend the lessons during most part of the monsoon season, due to sudden wall collapse danger.
2010 will be the worthy sequel of the previous year. With our usual energy and resolution, we are already preparing two new and quite important interventions: - the rebuilding of Shree Irang Richock Primary School, in Benighat, located on a hill at 1300 m height, where 180 students from the villages of the area will find comfort; - the rebuilding of the far-off and inaccessibile Shree Pragatishil High School, Bhirpani, in Ramechhap. A school over 50 years old, that needs our urgent intervention due to walls collapse danger. This will allow 800 students to continue attending their lessons in safe and solid buildings.
HAPPY CHILD PROJECT– (sponsorship of deprived children)
In 2009 we reached a meaningful number - over 50 - of children sponsorship acceptances. Thanks to the sponsor of generous distant people, we can take care of these kids - who are in need of a support to be able to survive and enjoy a decent life - in every aspect of their life, from primary food and health needs, to their school education and, why not, free time activities.
In 2010 we will begin the building of the Hanuman Village, the Family Home whose aim is to lodge full time the “Happy Child” kids who do not have a place to live. Here they will receive all the necessary cares and attentions, besides being treated by qualified teachers.
